Cheaper before the slab than after it
Termite protection is one of the few jobs where timing changes the price by an order of magnitude. A pre-construction soil treatment goes down before the slab is poured, across open ground, in a few hours. The same protection retro-fitted means drilling and injecting through finished floors.
Pre-construction work is applied in stages as the build progresses, the foundation trenches, the fill under the slab, and the perimeter once backfilled, each timed to the construction programme.
Post-construction is what an existing building gets: a continuous chemical barrier injected through the perimeter and any cold joints, so the soil around the structure is treated even though the slab is already down.

What it costs
Termite barriers are priced by treated area and by stage. Pre-construction is quoted per square metre of slab; post-construction by perimeter length.

Pre & Post-Construction Termite Protection: common questions
When does pre-construction treatment have to happen?
Before the slab is poured, that is the whole point. Once the slab is down, only post-construction treatment is possible, at several times the cost.
Do you provide a certificate?
Yes. Handovers and developers generally require one, and it is issued on completion.
Is there a warranty?
Terms vary by treatment type and are set out in writing before work begins. Ask us for the specific terms on your job rather than relying on a general claim.
